Pride in Print Awards

30 June 2010

I am delighted to announce that PMP was awarded four Gold medals and received three Highly Commended awards at the 2010 Pride in Print Awards, which were held at Sky City on Friday 18th June.

The first Gold medal was for the printing of the Fashion Quarterly magazine, an ACP title which is printed at our Wiri (text) and Printworld (cover) sites. This is a particularly challenging publication involving flesh tones and garments which are notoriously challenging to reproduce.

The second Gold medal was for the printing of the Real Magazine, a Fairfax title which is printed at our Birmingham Rd Christchurch (text) and Saxon (cover) sites. These were both entered in the Publications - Magazines category.

The third and fourth Gold medals were for the printing of Countdown CD27 and Flight Centre Sunshine Coast catalogues and printed at our Wiri site. These were both entered in the Promotional Print categories under catalogues & leaflets.

These magazines & catalogues are of an extremely high standard, and everyone involved at these sites should be especially proud of this national industry recognition.

We received a Highly Commended award for another magazine, Mana Magazine, which is an independent title that is printed at our Wiri site with the covers again printed at Printworld. This was also entered in the Publications - Magazines category.

The other High Commended awards were for the printing of the Freedom Elements catalogue and the New World OS 30th March 2009 catalogue. These were both printed at Wiri and were entered in the Promotional Print - Catalogues and Leaflets category.

This is another excellent result in the annual Pride in Print Awards, and I want to congratulate and thank everyone who was involved in their production.
